History of Shinko Hospital

1915 Established as the clinic of Kobe steel, co. Ltd.
1955 Training school for practicing nurses was established.
The hospital was re-established.
1956 Examination building was built.
1973 Present hospital was established.
1994 Present hospital was established.
1995 Shinko advanced nursing school was temporarily closed due to the Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake.
Awarded the 5th healthcare architecture prize by Japan Institute of Health Care Architecture for the quality of the healthcare in harmony with the surrounding architecture, equipment in use and management.
1998 Became independent of Kobe Steel, co. Ltd. Founded as "Shinko Hospital", an incorporated medical institution of Shinko-Kai Association.
1999 Shinko advanced nursing school was officially closed.
2001 Authorized as "General Hospital B" in the evaluation of hospital function for the quality of healthcare by Japan Council for Quality Health Care.
2003 The radiation therapy facilities were newly established.
2006 Authorized as "General Hospital" in the evaluation of hospital function for the quality of healthcare by Japan Council for Quality Health Care.
Opening of Department of Respiratory Surgery.
Merged Obstetrics and Gynecology into Gynecology.
2007 Opening of the Emergency Center.
Opening of the Operation Center.
2008 Obtained Japan Marrow Donor Program.
Authorized Transplant Center in Japan Marrow Donor Program.
2009 Opening of Department of Hematology.
Opening of Department of Oncology.
Opening of Department of Diabetes and Metabolic.
Opening of Department of Radiology.
Opening of Department of Radiotherapy.
Opening of Department of Emergency.
Authorized Transplant Center in Japanese Cord Blood Bank Network.
Opening of Shin-Kobe Medical Examination Clinic.
Opening of Department of Rheumatology.
Opening of the Rheumatic Diseases Center.
2011 Authorized as "General Hospital" in the evaluation of hospital function for the quality of healthcare by Japan Council for Quality Health Care.
Opening of the Hematologic Disease Center.
Opening of Department of Neurology.
